At the heart of the bundle are two of the latest Ultimaker 2+ Connect 3D printers. With networking capabilities and a new touchscreen, the Ultimaker 2+ Connect is your reliable first step into a world of easy, remote 3D printing.
The Ultimaker 2+ Connect Air Manager gives you more confidence and setup flexibility and peace of mind. Designed to simply and effectively increase user safety, it removes up to 95% of ultrafine particles and shields users from hot and moving components.
Filamentive rPLA Filament
Included in the bundle are 10 x 750g reels of Filamentive rPLA filament in a variety of colours.
Short for polylactic acid, PLA is a bioplastic derived from plant-based sources. However, PLA production is depleting natural resources faster than they can be replenished. To address this issue, Filamentive have pioneered rPLA 3D printer filament wound on cardboard spools. This filament still boasts the same great PLA features such as; low warping, limited smell and premium print quality but with the added benefit of being produced from factory waste streams as opposed to virgin pellets. All users of rPLA can feel good about reducing environmental impact, whilst being confident that the print quality will still be one of the best on the market!
PrintLab Classroom is an online platform containing over 45 fully resourced 3D printing projects and online courses. It also provides professional development resources, including a 5 hour training course for teachers, and a student portal, providing everything you need to teach 3D modelling and 3D printing both in the classroom and for remote home-learning.
The 1 year site license provides up to 10 individual teacher accounts on PrintLab Classroom with 10 seats to The PrintLab Certification Course and up to 200 concurrent logins to the student portal. This bundle includes a 1hr setup and technical training Skype call with one of our Ultimaker technicians, assisting you in the process of getting your printer up and running and outlining routine maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
It also includes two live 1hr 3D printing in the classroom online CPD workshop to be taken at a time of your choice. These can be attended by unlimited staff members from your organisation. During this workshop you will learn about the different free software options available to you, the 3D printing process, how to create, slice and 3D print a model, how to embed 3D printing in the curriculum and be presented with lots of project ideas and links to project resources. Following each live session you will be sent a copy of the workshop presentation, links to further resources, and a recording of the workshop to distribute to staff members who could not attend the live session and to revisit at your leisure.
