Ultimaker 2+ Connect
This is the most popular choice of Ultimaker 3D printer currently for schools, FE and HE environments, as it is a great value all-around professional desktop 3D printer that delivers consistent results. Engineered to perform, the Ultimaker 2+ Connect is reliable, efficient, and user-friendly. With a simple display and control dial, even very young students can operate this printer independently with a little prior instruction.
Einscan-SE 3D Scanner
The EinScan-SE is the next generation of EinScan-S with its new design and upgraded capacity. It is the easiest 3D scanning experience for non-technical users in mind, perfect for education, home use and desktop 3D printing. With this amazing plug and play 3D scanner you can simply point and click to turn physical objects into digital models on your computer – the perfect companion for a 3D printer.
Filamentive or BASF ForwardAM
The easiest material to print with. Derived from corn starches it is cheap and eco friendly too. We always recommend starting with PLA and using it wherever possible. It is our most popular material but if you require more mechanical strength or thermal resistance you will need to extend your filament palette.
Cura Software and Ultimaker
Cura has been engineered to make the very most of the Ultimaker 3D printer. And vice versa. Born from open source collaboration, together they create a stable, reliable and seamless 3D printing experience. This free innovative software makes 3D printing so easy. For newbies, it’ll do everything for you, and for experts, there’s a world of advanced settings to tinker with. As it’s open source, developers work with the community to enrich it even more. Download it for free!
Industry Leading 12 Month Warranty and Lifetime Support
All the parts, except the hot end, come with a 1-year warranty. Ultimaker also offers lifetime support through email and phone. There’s also an awesome community with plenty of knowledge to help you out when you’re in need.
The Ultimaker Community Has Over 10,00 3D Printing Experts
It’s an active community of experts who are full of useful tips and tricks, are always on hand for troubleshooting and collectively create a great networking platform. In fact, some of our key product upgrades and ideas were conceived in this very community. So when you add it all up, it’s an open source experience you need to be a part of and don’t want to miss out on!

Sacred Heart RC Primary School, Bolton
“We chose the Ultimaker brand of 3D printers, as they stood out as the most user friendly and reliable brands available, having tested others previously. The software that comes bundled with the printer – Cura – is easy to use and once downloaded to the computer you can be only a few clicks away from printing your design. 3D print designing is also easy, using free to download Tinkercad software, which our Year 6 pupils mastered in a couple of sessions, again not forgetting the Cura software which allows you to create 3D printable files from black and white images – we even want to get Reception involved in printing their own designs using this.”
